Domestic Violence
"Domestic Violence: A Barrier to Black Liberation" is a series of virtual workshops for victims and survivors and talks, and panel discussions for the public to address why, how does it, whom it impacts, and what to do about ending domestic violence in the Black community. This program is to shed light on how domestic violence is ignored and sometimes upheld among members of the Black community.
WORKSHOPS FOR SURVIVORS AND VICTIMS
Each Sunday at 11:00 a.m., we will host a themed workshop facilitated by Melody Gross, a domestic violence survivor, keynote speaker, and workplace trainer. Each workshop is 90-minutes and is offered virtually via Zoom.
Workshops are free to attend.
Recordings will not be made to protect the privacy of attendees.

they can better support victims of abuse.
Oct. 6 - Kickoff Talk: Domestic Violence: A Barrier to Black Liberation.
Oct. 13 - Panel discussion: Safety and Accountability.
This panel discussion will take a look at tools outside of oppressive systems, restorative justice, and ways to hold abusers accountable.
Oct. 20 - Survivors Panel: How to be in Solidarity with Victims and Survivors. This panel discussion will take a look at ways family, friends, community members, and employers can support and advocate for victims and survivors of abuse.
Oct. 27 - Closing Talk: Community Talkback. Bring your questions, thoughts, and ideas about building sustainable solutions to end domestic violence, promote restorative justice and embody collective healing to this community space where we will imagine possibilities that connect us all to deeper understandings of liberation.
Panels & Discussions are free to attend. A donation is suggested.
