The Eva Lee Parker Fund was created by her granddaughter, Melody Gross. On the surface it would not seem like a stay-at-home mother and her entrepreneur granddaughter would have something
in common but they are both survivors of domestic violence.

The fund will provide financial support for Black women who are
currently experiencing abuse by an intimate partner. The funds can
be used for:

- travel to escape
- rent/deposits
- car maintenance and gas
- broken items in the home
- other non-discretionary needs

The goal is to relieve some of the financial burdens Black women
who are experiencing domestic violence; as financial abuse is a
major barrier to leaving.

Sanctuary is honored to partner with Melody and sponsor this ongoing stipend fund.  This work is in alignment with our Values & Agreements
