More About Tiya Caniel
Tiya Caniel is a NC based yoga teacher, creative, and intuitive guide. Her pronouns are she/her/hers & they/them/theirs. Tiya leads virtual yoga sessions centered around mindful and love-driven asana practice. Her yoga practice began in 2012 and developed quickly into a passion. In 2016 Tiya completed her 200-hour certification from Asheville Yoga Center and began teaching very soon after.
In her personal practice, Tiya has had the opportunity to learn under some of the most knowledgeable and authentic yoga teachers, like Kelley Palmer, Keisha Battles, Kimberley Puryear, J. Miles, Adam Whiting, Maya Breuer, Melissa Aguirre, Sierra Hollister, and Nikki Myers.
Her guidance on and off the mat is a blend of yogic philosophy, writing, and creative play. By sharing a variety of traditional practices of movement, breath, and meditation with writing + creative expression, Tiya’s intention is to help each person develop their own personal yoga practice. She absolutely loves helping others facilitate healing from within by sharing tools to cultivate more peace, love, ease, and abundance.
